Kershaw County, SC (WLTX) - Kershaw County deputies say a man stole 1,300 cases of Corona beer from a store.
Officers say on July 5 at 7 p.m., a delivery person dropped off a trailer filled with the beverage at the Pilot Gas Station on Highway 601 South in Lugoff.
According to deputies, the person planned to return on July 8 to pick up the container to deliver it to several Columbia businesses. However, a suspect used a semi to load up the trailer and haul off with all the beer before the deliveries could be made.
The trailer is described as white and has a South Carolina tag of PV74571 and a trailer number of 80758.
Officers have surveillance video of a person who they say has been going around the north Columbia area selling the stolen beer.
Deputies say they want to speak with him as soon as possible. If you know the identity of the driver of the tractor, where the stolen trailer is located, or if you can identify the alleged suspect selling the beer, call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
