Kershaw County, SC (WLTX) -- An early morning single car crash in Kershaw County has killed County School Board member Joey Dorton. 

According to Kershaw County Coroner Johnny Fellers, Dorton's car ran off the left side of Wateree Dam Road early Wednesday morning. Dorton's car then struck a tree, and caught fire. 

The County Coroner says an autopsy will be performed Wednesday afternoon, and will release details regarding actual cause of death at a later time.
