Columbia, S.C. (WLTX)-- The stolen vehicle has been found, but the search is continuing for two crooks after a carjacking and assault in Columbia.

The attack happened just after 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of Devine Street and Beltline Boulevard. Columbia police say a man and woman were in a vehicle, stopped at the red light at that location, when they were approached by two men. One asked for a ride, and when refused, both are accused of pointing guns at the man and woman.

Police say the gunmen ordered the victims out of the car, and once they didn't comply, one of the men hit the woman in the head and face with a gun. The woman was later taken to the hospital. She was not seriously hurt.

The men drove off in the vehicle, which has been recovered by authorities. But the suspects are still out there.
