CARLE PLACE, N.Y. (AP) - Some light may be shed on the mystery surrounding a missing Long Island swimmer who was later seen driving in South Carolina.
His wife, Evana Roth, plans a news conference with her lawyer on Friday.
Police said Thursday that Raymond Roth was stopped for speeding in South Carolina after apparently spending time in Florida.

Roth's son reported his father missing Saturday. He told authorities his father went swimming at Jones Beach but never returned.
The New York Post quotes Evana Roth as saying her husband had tripled his life insurance policy and withdrawn money from all her accounts. She also said she found incriminating emails written to her stepson.
