Columbia, SC (WLTX) A boil water advisory has been issued for customers from Assembly Street to Rosewood Drive to Whaley and Flora Streets and from Assembly Street to E. Broadway Street.
Residents are advised to boil water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
Any residents near the affected area who have lost water and or water pressure are also advised to vigorously boil their water for least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
The City of Columbia has experienced a six inch water main break near the Capital City stadium. This could result in bacterial contamination.
The City of Columbia Water Works is working to correct the problem.
