Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Thousands of Gamecock fans came out Sunday to get autographs and take pictures with the USC Football team.

"Gamecocks Fan all day everyday," said David Dial.

Waiting in long lines for hours is all worth is to get face to face with the Gamecock Football Team and Coach Spurrier. Jason Buckner was first in line.

"Last year you had to get in line early so I got here early to get in," said Buckner.

2 hours early to be exact and for fans like Howard Williams, "I missed church today to come to this," said Williams.

The Gamecock Nation isn't only limited to the Palmetto State just ask Oris Cline.

"I came all the way from Panama to get Coach Spurrier's autograph," said Cline.

John Moreley drove 5 hours from Tennessee to see the kid he use to watch playing in high school. Now he's the head ball coach.

"He is just a super coach and I am mad because Tennessee never got him," said Moreley.

But Fan fest wasn't just about the coach. David Dial came to see Connor Shaw.

"Connor Shaw does great everyone loves him, people didn't expect him to do it but he turned out to be a great quarterback."

Simply put, "I am ready for the season to start I really am," said Williams.

And fans are expecting another historic season.

"Gamecocks, best team in the nation we are going to be number one, we are going all the way this year, undefeated," said Dial.
