Columbia, SC (WLTX) Following reports and rumors that suggested he may be involved in questionable business practices; Lexington town councilman Danny Frazier issued a statement tonight saying he made a serious error in judgement when talking to a friend.
Frazier says he had a conversation with someone who was interested in getting a new business venture and that he bragged about having friends, public officials, who would help them out.
In a statement emailed to News19, Frazier says he was secretly taped and quoted, "during the course of that lenghty conversation. I boasted about friendships and said things that were exaggerated or simply not true."
He went on to apologize to his family, the Mayor, the Lexington town Council and the citizens of Lexington County.
Danny Frazier has been a member of Lexington Town Council since 2005.
