Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Kamran Lloyd had a dream most would describe as normal.  He wanted to ride a bike but the only set of wheels he knew how to ride were the ones on his wheel chair.

Kamran has Arthrogryposis, a condition that makes it hard to use his arms and legs.

"Other kids say they don't like him because he can't do the things they can do," said Ashliegh Lloyd, Kamran's mom.

Lloyd tried to win her son an adapted bike 3 months ago through a competition on Facebook.  The person with the most likes would win but Kamran fell short.

"I got to thinking Kamran deserves a bike just like every other kid," said Lloyd.  "I was going to do whatever I could to help him get it.  There's just something about a bike.  Every kid deserves a bike."

So many News 19 viewers agreed and along with Rifton Equipment, a company that makes adapted bikes, got Kamran the red bike he'd always dreamed of.

"I was like this is really happening.  I was about to cry," said Lloyd.

Kamran saw the bike sitting in his yard for the first time from his wheel chair.

"I have my bike," he screamed.  "I have my bike.  See, it's called a red bike."

"It's something we never thought we'd see him do," said Lloyd.  "I never thought I would see him riding a bike.  All the stuff he's got going on with doctors and all of that, this right here is a piece of happiness."

"It just brought tears to my eyes," said Terri Brown, who helped raise money for the bike by holding a car wash.  "He has what he wants."

As Kamran rolled down the street for the first time, he had some sage advise for us all: "Remember to watch out for any cars."
