Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Back in July, USC head football coach Steve Spurrier said that SEC Media Day was part of "talking season" because at that point, there is no tangible evidence of what a team might accomplish in the upcoming season.
For the past 24 hours, Spurrier has been doing a little more talking than normal.
On Thursday evening, he took part in his first weekly radio call-in show of the preseason. "Carolina Calls" gives fans a chance to pick the coach's brain about the upcoming season.
The next day, Spurrier spent the noon hour at Seawell's speaking at the first 2012 meeting of the Columbia Touchdown Club.
Spurrier will kick off his eighth season at USC August 30 when Carolina plays at Vanderbilt.
