SUMTER, S.C. (AP) - Sumter County Sheriff's Deputies say that multiple agencies are now working together to determine who killed an 18-year old Sumter teen.

Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Sumter City Police Department, along with the assistance of SLED are all investigating the death of Aaron Abraham who was reported missing July 22nd.

Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis said a pathologist confirmed that the bones found by a man collecting cans off Highway 261 near Wedgefield on August 22nd were those of Abraham.

Authorities say Abraham was last seen on security camera footage leaving the Sumter County Library on July 19 as it closed. He appeared to be alone.

"Our agencies will both aggressively investigate this incident and will work together to exhaust all potential leads. We need the public's help. We're confident someone has key information that will bring closure to this case", said Sumter Police Chief Russell Roark and Sheriff Anthony Dennis.
