Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal car wreck that happened in Gilbert early Sunday morning.
Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman says 24-year old Woodruff Duke of Lexington was traveling eastbound on Highway 378 around 5:50am.
According to Coroner Harman, Duke was near the intersection of Peachland Drive when he lost control of his 1995 Chevrolet Camaro, running off the road and into a ditch.
Coroner Harman says Duke was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of severe head and body trauma.
Officials say Duke was not wearing his seatbelt.
