Columbia, SC (WLTX) = Columbia police have arrested the man who is accused of setting fire to a truck at a local dealership Thursday.
Cody Duane Allen, 20 is charged with third degree arson, in the fires at the Dick Smith Dealership on Two Notch road.
According to police, Allen is accused of using a paper bag to set fire to a $50,000 truck. Heat from the fire also caused damage to an adjacent car in the parking lot.
He is also accused, according to police, of using a brick to break the windows of at least seven new vehicles. The estimated damage will cost $10,500 to repair and Allen will also be charged with malicious injury to property.
When police officers arrested Allen at the dealership, he was found sitting on top of another vehicle eatting from a jar of peanut butter.
He was transported to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
