EASLEY (written by Ron Barnett/Greenville Online) - Pickens County deputies were working through the night at a home on Saluda Dam Road to try unravel the cause of a shooting that left three people dead.
Assistant Sheriff Tim Morgan said a man's body was found outside the home, on Saluda Dam Road, near the Crosswell Fire Department, and a woman and juvenile male were found dead inside the house.
A gun had been found, Morgan said, but he wouldn't speculate on whether it was a murder-suicide.
"We don't know that," he said, adding, "I don't see any reason for the neighborhood to be alarmed at the present time. We don't know for sure if one of the deceased was the shooter or not. We are certainly processing the scene."
Morgan said the coroner was still on the scene after 2 a.m. A coroner's vehicle had left the house a few minutes earlier. At least two bodies were seen being loaded into the truck.
The 911 call came in at about 10:30 p.m., he said.
