Spartanburg (Greenville Online) -- A 21-year-old mother from Spartanburg was being sought on a homicide-by-child-abuse charge after authorities alleged that she left an infant in a tub who later died, according to warrants.
A sworn warrant for Mary Ann Williams, of 4930 College Drive, charges her with leaving her 9-month-old daughter in a tub at motel on Aug. 20, according to the warrant.
Emergency medical responders tried to save the child, Aaliyah N. Williams, but she later died, according to an incident report.
Investigators said the tub incident occurred at Brookwood Inn on College Drive.
Authorities said Williams is a York resident.
