Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - Lexington County deputies have arrested a man they say stole three cars and sold them for scrap metal.
Officers booked 31-year-old Saul Edward Saylors on a charge of grand larceny involving property worth between $2,000 and $10,000.
He has since been released on bond.
Deputies say on August 23, Saylors removed a 1986 Ford pickup, a 1982 Mercedes 300, and a 1977 American Gremlin from a business on Corley Mill road. Investigators say he then hired a towing service to take the vehicles to CMC Recycling on Two Notch Road in Lexington.
At the recycling plant, he got $924 in return for the cars. The vehicles were then crushed for scrap metal.
The thefts were reported the next day.
Deputies say anyone with other information on Saylors should call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
