Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Richland County Deputies say an 8-year old was grazed by a stray bullet just after 1pm Monday afternoon.

According to Deputy Curtis Wilson, two men were firing shots at each other on the 100 Block of Aster Street in the Washington Park Subdivision. One of the bullets went through a wall of a house and grazed the child while he was inside the home.

Officials say the 8-year old was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Deputy Wilson says the two males believed to be involved in the incident have been detained.
