Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- A number of events will be conducted today and this evening, commemorating the lives lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. 

First Tribute Golf Tournament in Honor of First Responders 

Held today by The Columbia Police Department, at Wildcat Golf Course at Fort Jackson Golf Club, 3652 Chestnut Road. Registration at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m. shotgun start. Proceed benefit Columbia Police Foundation

"Cry Out America" Prayer Gathering in Lexington: 

6-7 tonight at the 9/11 monument, Marc Westbrook Judicial Center, 205 E. Main St. Lexington. In case of rain, the gathering will be held at Lexington Baptist Church, 308 E. Main St. (803) 513-2003.

An Evening Of Remembrance

Tonight at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center from 5:30-7:30 p.m., 1101 Lincoln St.
First responders, their families, dignitaries and the public will gather to remember those who died Sept. 11.

Those in attendance will include: Dawn Yamashiro, of Lexington County, who's brother died in Tower One in the World Trade Center; Maj. Gen. Robert Livingston, South Carolina's adjutant general; Brig. Gen. Bryan Roberts, commanding general at Fort Jackson.
There will also be a roll call of fallen hereos, and flyover by the U.S. Coast Guard.
