Washington, DC (WLTX) -- The NHTSA, along with the company Dorel Juvenile Group/Safety 1st, has issued a recall affecting two models of infant rear-facing car seats.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has indicated that the two seats noted were sold without the proper Latch system, making the seat harder to install properly.
In the event of an accident the child may be at a higher risk for injury because of the lack of protection.
The models being recalled are:
Comfy Carry, Model Number IC123FSM
OnBoard 35, Model Number IC124FSM
The seats under this recall were manufactured starting in May 1, 2011 through April 25, 2012.
To locate the model number and manufactured date look either on the side or the rear of the seat.
