Car Crashes Into Spartanburg Area Warehouse, Starts Fire

Spartanburg, SC (WSPA) -- The Cherokee Springs Fire Department battled a fire Monday night when a car ran into a Spartanburg area warehouse.

Just after 9 p.m. firefighters were called to Todd Parris Inc. off Old Furnace Road in Chesnee. The chief tells WSPA that they received a report from the Highway Patrol that a vehicle left Old Furnace Road and crashed into the warehouse.  He said that a driver was not found inside the building.

Cherokee Springs Fire Department was assisted by five other area fire departments.  42 firefighters helped put out the fire.

An abandoned car was found inside the warehouse.
