Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- A federal grand jury indicted 52-year-old Freddie Grant on a charge of being a felon in possession of ammunition.
Grant is the man that Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says kidnapped 15-year-old Gabbiee Swainson. She has not been seen since August 18th.
According to an affidavit, The FBI, Elgin Police and Richland County Sheriff's Deputies say they found shotgun shells and .38-caliber bullets in Grant's home.
Sheriff Leon Lott says his department has a warrant for Grant on kidnapping charges that they will formally serve him with when he is released from the Lexington County jail on the federal ammunition charges.

The federal ammunition charge could carry a maximum 10 year sentence. That sentence could be increased to 15 years if the court determines Grant is a "career criminal" with a violent felony and/or a serious drug offense. Grant is scheduled to be in federal court in October.
Grant's criminal record includes possession with intent to distribute crack, domestic violence and insurance fraud.
Sheriff Lott continues to ask for tips about Gabbiee Swainson's disappearance. Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
