Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- An argument September 15th at the McDonald's location at 2911 Two Notch Road led to a shooting, and one suspect has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
Columbia police say Terrell L. Bethel was a part of at least two groups in the argument, and he allegedly fired a gun into a crowd.
Three people were hit by bullets, including 20-year-old Steve McCoy of Elgin who died from a gunshot to the head. The other victims were hit in the hip and arm.
Officers believe the groups were involved in a verbal and physical altercation, which resulted in the shots being fired.
Bethel is charged with seven counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, discharging a firearm into an occupied conveyance, drug possession, and failure to stop on police command.
Columbia Police are still searching for Torance Lamar Peoples, 20, of Elgin on outstanding arrest warrants for: seven counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, discharging a firearm into an occupied conveyance, and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime.
