Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Kershaw County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested two people after they found stolen guns and drugs inside a Camden home on Friday.

Kershaw County Narcotics Investigators say they executed a search warrant for a home on 1517 Campbell St. in Camden after local citizens made complaints about activities occurring around the residence.

Narcotics Investigators say they seized 5 firearms, several ounces of marijuana, ecstasy pills, scales and other drug paraphernalia associated with the use and distribution of drugs and several hundred dollars. Deputies determined that two of the handguns were stolen from burglaries that occurred in Kershaw County and were likely traded for drugs.

According to investigators 30-year old Dee Dee Drakeford of Camden and 21-year old Samuel Stewart of Camden were arrested and taken to Kershaw County Detention Center.

Drakeford is being charged with:

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana (2nd Offense)
  • Possession of Ecstasy
  • Possession of Stolen Firearms (2 Counts)

Stewart is being charged with:

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana (1st Offense)
  • Possession of Ecstasy
  • Possession of Stolen Firearms (2 Counts)

According to investigators, Drakeford and Stewart have previous arrests for narcotics violations.

Kershaw County Sheriff Matthews says, "KCSO narcotics officers follow up on citizen complaints regularly and frequently these complaints and resulting investigations lead to arrests. The good folks in our neighborhoods want these drug dealers gone and in jail and we will try to oblige them."
