Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have found the teenager they were searching for that triggered a modified lockdown at three schools Thursday.

Officer say they located the teen in The Longcreek Plantation neighborhood.

Officers say the incident began with a domestic argument. The teen will be charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Officers say around 12:30 p.m. they got a call of a male running into the woods with a shotgun at 300 Lee Road. Helicopters joined in the search, and a command post was set up in the area.

As a precaution, Ridge View High School, Rice Creek Elementary, and Sandlapper Elementary were put on a modified lockdown. During a modified lockdown, no one is allowed to leave the school, but normal activities continue.
