Lexington, SC (WLTX) -- The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has arrested two men suspected in multiple vehicle break-ins on Flinchum Place in W. Columbia.
Samuel Xavier Guinyard, 22, of West Columbia, and 20 year old Robert Lee Jeridore, also of West Columbia, are accused of five counts each of breaking into a motor vehicle.
According to the arrest warrants, on October 5th the two suspects allegedly attempted to break into four different vehicles, and did break into one vehicle, all parked at residences on Flinchum Place.
Someone witnessed two men were going to vehicles parked at homes on the street, lifting the door handles to determine if the vehicles were unlocked.
When deputies responded on that day, deputies detained Jeridore when he attempted to run away from the officers.
Guinyard was taken into custody when he was riding as a passenger in a car involved in a traffic stop on the same day. When officers stopped the car, they saw several pairs of sunglasses, earbuds, and a car charger in the back seat. Whe they searched Guinyard, they discovered a large number of coins and several CDs on his person.
Both Guinyard and Jeridore are being held in the Lexington County Detention Center on $12,500 bail.
