Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested a man they say fired shots at a soccer complex.
Deputies have charged Martin Quezada on two counts of attempted murder and two counts of pointing and presenting a weapon.
Acting on leads received from witnesses and other in the community, the Richland County Sheriff's department arrested Quezada late Friday afternoon on Flintlake Road without incident.
Sheriff Leon Lott said that on October 9 at Polo Road Park at 930 Polo road, deputies responded to a shots fired call.
Lott stated that deputies have determined that 10 to 12 men were in the rear of the parking lot involved in an argument, and that Quezada was one of the men.
The argument turned physical, according to the sheriff, at which point he belives Quezada pointed and fired shots at the victims. Witnesses were able to take photos of some of the suspects and the suspect vehicles as they fled the area.
Lott added that the investigation continues as they look to see if others are involved and additional charges or arrests are warranted.
