FORT JACKSON, S.C. (KARE 11) -- A veteran from North Branch, MN missing for one week has been found safe.

On Sunday night, a post on Sgt. Robert Larson's missing persons Facebook page said that he was located in the woods within a 100 mile radius of North Branch and was headed back to Fort Jackson, South Carolina where he's stationed.

Larson had last been seen at a gas station in Gary, Indiana on October 7th, one day after his wife said he left their home in South Carolina.  He had not been seen or heard from since.

Concerned family and friends took to social media in recent days to help get the word out.

Larson suffered a tramatic brain injury during a tour in Iraq and still suffers from PTSD.
