Columbia, SC (WLTX)- Neighbors of Fort Jackson watched with eyes wide open as 250 soldiers crawled under live machine gun fire.

The ammunition was being fired from three towers overhead. Vistors were able to watch the exercise with some of the world's most modern night vision goggles.

Around 200 people attended the "Meet your neighbors at Fort Jackson night" event, which began at the Officers' Club, on Wednesday evening.
