Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A third person has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at a McDonald's restaurant last month.
Officers say 23-year-old Rayski Walters is charged with unlawful possession of a pistol, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Back on September 15, two groups of people were involved in an argument at the McDonald's at 2911 Two Notch Road. Eventually shots were fired, and several people were hit by bullets. One of them, 20-year-old Steven McCoy of Elgin, was killed.
Police say Walters was at the incident location at the time of the shooting.
Two other suspects--21-year-old Lamar Peoples and 23-year-old Terrell Lamont Bethel--had previously been arrested and charged with multiple charges, including attempted murder. Officers believe they were among the people who actually fired shots into the crowd that night.
Police say the investigation continues, and more arrests could be coming.
