Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies are searching for a 16-year-old girl who hasn't been seen in weeks.
Officers want to find 16-year-old Anafelicia "Ana" Miranda.
She was last seen on September 28 at Richland Northeast High School, where she attends.
According to deputies, Miranda told family members that she wanted to leave with a male acquaintance, but said she'd be back on October 1.
Her family says they've had no contact with her since last month.
Sheriff Leon Lott states that 16-year-olds cannot make the decision to leave the home without the consent of their parents or legal guardian.
Officers believe Miranda may be with 25-year-old Arturo Pereira Bravo, who also goes by the name Linch Bravo Pereina. Lott says officers are working to determine if she left willingly or is being forced to not have contact with her family, and her family believes she may be in danger.
The two may be traveling in a blue 2000 Mercury Sable with keypads on the door, with a South Carolina tag IKP-374. Lott says it's possible that Brave headed to Georgia or Mexico.
Miranda is 5' 6" tall and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information about Ana or Bravo should call Cirmestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
