Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The City of Columbia Water works is advising water customers of The Chimneys Apartment Complex on Brookfield Road off Decker Boulevard.
Residents of the apartment complex are advised to boil their water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooking. Any ice made made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.
Any residents near the affected area who have lost water and/or pressure are also advised to vigorously boil their water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooki
A six-inch water main break could possibly result in bacterial contamination of the water in the Chimneys Apartment complex and possibly surrounding area.
