COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Residents of Columbia have an opportunity to learn more about smart spending and saving.
The City of Columbia's Community Development Department on Saturday is hosting a free program on financial literacy from 9am-12pm. Organizers say they hope the session will help people understand the hidden costs of buying things on credit.
Senior loan officer Felicia Wilkes says the three-hour program also covers topics including banking, budgeting and what your credit score really means.
