ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - The co-owner of an Anderson market has died after he was struck by a car in front of the business.

Twenty-five-year-old Joseph Michael McClellion of Anderson died shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown says McClellion died from blunt trauma.

McCown says McClellion was standing well to the side of the highway across from the Jockey Lot when he was hit.

Twenty-eight-year-old Christopher Alexander Martin of Pelzer has been charged with felony driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.

McCown said he didn't know how fast Martin was going when the victim was hit.

It was not clear if Martin has a lawyer.
