Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Two men have been arrested who Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says committed a string of crimes.

According to officials, just before 5am, deputies responded to a burglary at Off the Rails on Two Notch Road.

Sheriff Lott said that a concerned citizen called 911 after noticing suspicious activity inside the business. When deputies arrived on scene, 28-year old Jamale Pratt and 39-year old Marvin Henderson, got into their vehicle and drove off.

Deputies say they attempted to pull over the two men, but after the suspects failed to stop, a chase began.

According to Sheriff Lott, Pratt and Henderson entered I-20 Westbound and drove onto Bluff Road and I-77. Soon after the suspects jumped out of the vehicle and tried to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended.

Deputies say the two suspects had stolen their getaway vehicle earlier in the evening and had stolen an ATM from Off the Rails.

"Pratt has an extensive criminal history to include numerous burglaries and larcenies," said Sheriff Lott. "Henderson has an extensive criminal record to include illegal drug convictions, as well as assault and battery charges."

Pratt and Henderson are being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
