SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina authorities are searching for a man who walked away from a hearing at the Spartanburg County Courthouse.
The Spartanburg Herald-Journal reported that Ashley L. Wrenix disappeared shortly before noon Friday. The 32-year-old was placed on home detention earlier this month following his arrest on kidnapping and criminal domestic violence charges.
A woman called 911 on Oct. 10 and reported being held against her will after Wrenix jumped from behind a bush, punched her in the mouth and abducted her by force. She identified Wrenix as her estranged boyfriend.
Authorities with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office cautioned the public not to approach Wrenix if he is spotted because he has a history of violence.
