Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The death toll topping 50, and the unfathomable damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, especially to New York, New Jersey, has people equating this disaster to a movie.
But it's not only not film, but it's an unimaginable tragedy affecting millions along the north-east coast.
News 19 WLTX is hosting a special fund-raising phone bank tonight with the American Red Cross of The Midlands.
Starting at 5:00PM and running through our evening newscasts until 7:30PM, residents will be able to call in and speak directly with Red Cross representatives, and offer individual assistance in helping with the recovery from Hurricane Sandy.
