Columbia, SC (WLTX) - USC defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has been named a semi-finalist for the Lombardi Award.
The honor goes to the top lineman or linebacker in America.
So far this season, Clowney has 40 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, and 8.5 sacks. He's been named to several mid-season All-America teams.
Even though he's just a sophomore, Clowney ranks sixth in school history for career sacks.
The Rotary Lombardi Award committee will announce the four finalists on November 17, 2012.
