Fairfield County, SC (WLTX) - Fairfield County deputies say there has been a reported sighting of a police officer accused of shooting his wife.
Deputies say Mike Roseboro was spotted on Highway 21 near Great Falls. Officers have part of that area blocked off and are actively searching for him.
Roseboro's sister came home Thursday and found him in her home, and that's what apparently triggered this search. She told officers it appeared he'd been without food or water for days.
Last Sunday, deputies say Roseboro, an officer with the Winnsboro Department of Public Safety, shot his estranged wife on Eighth Street.
Investigators say he was in his patrol vehicle and fired at her as she stood on the sidewalk. Chief Deputy Keith Lewis says their children were present during the incident and are now in the care of family members.
His wife was last reported in stable condition.
