Voters in the Palmetto State were deciding if the governor and lieutenant governor should be on a joint ticket, state legislative races, and mayoral, county council, and school board contests.

While no hard data is in, election officials said there was a chance the state could have had a record turnout.

Long lines were seen at several precincts in the Midlands, especially in Richland County, which led to some frustration with voters. The cause of the lines somewhat in dispute, but it appears too few or malfunctioning machines may have played a role.

WLTX.com will have continuous coverage throughout the night, and News19 will be live on the air throughout the night with results and analysis. You'll also see CBS News coverage of the Presidential battle and the race to control Congress.
