(WLTX) - Lower Richland High School has forfeited its playoff win last week, according to the coaching staff at Blue Ridge High School.

Blue Ridge High Coach Wade Cooper told the Greenville News that the team informed him it would forfeit its 26-21 win over them from last Friday.

Cooper says he was told it was because Lower Richland had an ineligible player during the game.

With the decision, Blue Ridge advances to the next round of the Class AAA playoffs against Daniel High.

Blue Ridge had not practiced all week. The Tigers' head coach says his team wil work out Friday afternoon and then depart for the game.

Daniel will also have to adjust on the fly as that team has been preparing all week for Lower Richland.
