(WLTX)- Need a divorce? Can't afford a lawyer? Go online to complete free South Carolina Court Approved divorce forms.
South Carolina Legal Services (SCLS) and its project partners announce the availability of new, interactive online forms to obtain a simple divorce. To access the forms, you can visit www.lawhelp.org/sc.
The program allows self-represented litigants and pro bono and legal aid attorneys to quickly and easily draft court-approved legal documents by answering questions via an easy-to-use online interface. Similar initiatives, used in 28 states, generated more than 145,000 forms in 2009.
The use of online questionnaires to create court approved forms is one way legal aid organizations, pro bono programs and courts around the country are working to increase and improve access to the courts.
Every year, millions of Americans who are unable to afford attorneys face potentially devastating legal problems such as domestic violence, foreclosure, eviction and child custody disputes.
