Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Columbia's longest running holiday tradition celebrates the Silver Anniversary this year, as OneMain Financial presents the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden's 25th annual Lights Before Christmas.
The Zoo's celebration of Lights kicks off Saturday, Nov. 17th, and will include more than 1 million lights, many familiar favorites, and hundreds of animated images throughout the park.
This year's display also includes a 15 foot life-sized snow globe, a 20-foot Christmas Tree moving to the music that can be heard around the Zoo's Palmetto Plaza. Also in the Plaza, the Zoo will feature the Jingle Bell Bonfire.
Santa's Village will be there too, where guests can visit with Santa on the nights leading up to Christmas Eve, and the park is the only place in the Midlands where it snows every night.
