(Phoenix, AZ) - A mother is facing child-abuse charges after being accused of leaving her 6-year-old daughter at a McDonald's in Phoenix.
According to court documents, Lucy Parra, 23, picked up her daughter at school Tuesday and went to a McDonald's at 23rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road, where she dropped her off and drove away as the girl went inside.
The girl later came out of the restaurant with two adults who helped her look for her mother, and when they couldn't find Parra, employees called police. Officers were on the scene for 15 minutes before Parra came back for her daughter, the documents said.
Police discovered that earlier in the day, Parra was released from Tent City after serving time on a warrant for driving on a suspended license.
Court documents show that on a separate occasion, Parra left two other children at her mother's house without informing family members.
Police said Child Protective Services took away her rights to her children.
