Sumter, SC (WLTX) - Sumter police have made a second arrest in a fatal shooting that took place during an attempted reposession.

Denise Michelle Livingston, 44, has been charged with accessory after the fact of a felony.

Tuesday, Sumter County deputies say 81-year-old Alton Shelley shot and killed 45-year-old Todd Showell.

At the time, Showell and another man were attempting to repossess a vehicle at a home on Fletcher Street. The men were driving away from the home in a wrecker truck when deputies say Shelley fired the fatal shots.

Investigator now, say, though, that before the shooting, Livingston opened the door for Shelley to come outside and shoot. Deputies say Livingston knew Shelley was armed.
