Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A man has been charged with DUI in connection with a collision with a fire truck that injured several firefighters.
The incident took place last Saturday night at the intersection of Two Notch Road and Beltline Boulevard.
State troopers say a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Robert Erwin of Columbia made an improper turn on Two Notch Road to get onto Beltline. The vehicle then struck a barrier and a fire engine.
Four firefighters and Erwin were taken to the hospital.
Erwin was also charged with driving under a suspended license.
