CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A Myrtle Beach man has pleaded guilty to robbing 14 banks in six states.
Forty-two-year-old Wesley Todd McCracken pleaded guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Charleston.
He will be sentenced later. McCracken faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each of the robberies.
Prosecutors say McCracken robbed the first bank on Oct. 24 last year when he held up a bank in Florence. Prosecutors say in the next three months, he robbed 13 banks in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
McCracken was arrested Dec. 29 after a robbery at a bank in Georgetown.
