COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Republican and Democratic leaders in the South Carolina House are presenting their caucuses' priorities for the legislative session that starts next week.

The presentations Thursday will be made during the annual legislative workshop co-sponsored by The Associated Press, the South Carolina Press Association and the South Carolina Broadcasters Association.

House leaders scheduled to speak about their agendas include Speaker Bobby Harrell, Majority Leader Bruce Bannister, Minority Leader Harry Ott and Legislative Black Caucus Chairman Harold Mitchell.

Items considered to be high on both parties' agendas include reforming ethics and election laws, and better securing taxpayers' personal information.

Democrats are expected to fight to expand Medicaid under the federal health care law.

Republicans hold a 77-to-46 majority in the chamber. A special election in March will fill a Greenville County seat.
