Columbia, SC (WLTX) - USC's quarterback Connor Shaw will have surgery on his injured ankle Friday.
Shaw's ankle had been bothering him for the last several weeks of the regular season. In the Outback Bowl Tuesday, he could be seen limping for parts of the game, and ultimately had to be taken out in the final minutes.
Despite the injury, Shaw threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 96 yards.
Because of the surgery, Shaw is not expected to be ready to participant in spring practice.
