Gaston, SC (WLTX) - A Lexington County school is off lockdown after deputies say someone made a false report of a gun on campus.
Lexington County deputies responded to Sandhills Middle School Tuesday morning after someone reported a student had a gun on campus. However, officers say they found the student, and he did not have a weapon.
The district says there was no threat to students. It was placed on lockdown while deputies investigated the claim.
