Columbia, SC (WLTX) - An unknown suspect  has been throwing rocks from overpasses in Columbia.

On Monday a little after 9:30 p.m., January 14, at Broad River and Bookie Richardson road, a victim sustained major front end damage to his vehicle after someone threw a rock at his vehicle.

On Saturday, January 12, just before midnight, at i-26 west at the overpass near exit 94 someone threw a rock that shattered the windshield of a traveling car.

Sheriff Leon Lott said that the victim and her passengers suffered injuries to the upper body as a result of the glass and rock hitting them and that the driver saw the suspect vehicle as she approached, then heard a loud bang.  All were transported to Lexington Medical Center for treatment.

Lott says that the suspect is driving a white older model pick up, possibly a F-150 or Silverado size truck.

This suspect needs to be apprehended before he kills someone because of these assaults, said Lott.
