Camden, SC (WLTX) - Camden police are looking for a man they say tried to rob a bank and claimed to have a bomb.
At about 4:30 p.m. pm on January 16th, a man walked into the Bank of America in Camden and asked to speak to a service person, according to Chief Joseph Floyd.
He was taken to an office where he told the service person that he had a bomb strapped to himself and he had a detonator, and he wanted $9500.
He walked with the bank service person to the teller window, where he asked again for the money. The teller, not realizing that this was a robbery, asked for the man's identification. The robber turned and left the bank, according to authorities.
